2024 GLE 53 Coupe - Multi-Countour Seats
The car looks and drives amazingly, and the "tech" is just out of this world. This is my 3rd AMG vehicle, the first two having been a ' CLS 63 and a '19 E63s. While I love this car, the seat bottoms are hard as a rock to me. Granted the car only has 950 miles, and I am praying that they break in after a bit, but its likely sitting on a slab of concrete, and causing major butt and back of leg pain. Before I take to the dealer to investigate if anything is defective (which is probably unlikely), thought I would ask the group if anyone else has experienced same?, and if so, did it soften up a bit? I found that adjusting the seat up "higher" than I normally would has helped, but not completely. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
I’m 6’2” and had been playing around with seat adjustments to feel right, with combinations of all the angles of the seat and higher/lower/deeper steering wheel positions with some drive time. One particular combo did give me a sore right butt.
The higher seat positions do feel like they help, but needs higher steering and hands feel less stable floating around in the air. Lower steering position would be ideal, but it blocks the dash.
Think I’ve finally gotten it right, but interested in others’ experiences too. Bolstering in my wife’s Audi is more plush with thick cushions, and comfortable in any position.

Maybe try letting the car give you a starting position, by telling it your height and letting it do its thing.

Sometimes I'd try, say, 'more rearward bottom tilt with less thigh extension' for a while, then something else and try it.
Then, if it didn't work, I'd have #1 to fall back on.
Actually this was on a 17 Macan that we hated the 18-way seats so much that we traded it. (Probably should have bought custom seats, for the depreciation hit.)
I agree that the 53 seats are firmer than a 450, and in that regard we miss ours.
OTOH, there's not really enough side bolster for track work, so I think the sport seats are 'more show than go.'
Playing around with the bottom thigh extension, as in my example above, gave a superb result.
