Hi All. Wondering if you could help me find a replacement for the insulation liner near the back of my engine near the top. I just got my GLE63 AMG not long ago and it looks like it melted away/cracked away. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement. Also, how hard is it to replace? Has anyone done it? Thanks in advance!
It almost looks like rodents may have gotten in there and started eating at it. If that is not the case, why not just take it to the dealership and have them fix it under warranty?
I had a somewhat similar issue with my GLE 350. Had it for not even 3 months and the check engine light came on. Said some sensor went bad, but when they went to change it they said rodents chewed up some wires and tried to hit me with an $800 bill on a brand new lease with not even 2K miles (or right around 2K miles). After some back and forth with the service advisor AND the service manager, they covered the repair because my GLE was sitting at their dealership outside under a tree for about a week (I checked in the Mercedes Me app).
