Transferring extended warranties

Hi all - looking to transfer the extended warranty from the previous owner on my GLE 53 under me. I've done this before at other auto makers and never paid anything.

Mercedes Canada dealership asking a a pretty decent sum to perform the transfer. Anyone went through this before or familiar?

Contact Mercedes-Benz Canada directly and see if you do not have to go through the dealership at all.

If you have a copy of the original contract, transfer instructions should be included.

Is it a factory warranty or a breakdown policy?
