22" OEM rims 305/40/22 and 275/45/22; fit & pairing
A long time Merc owner and a recent acquirer of a '21 GLE 63. I've searched the forum and google but the insights are not very definitive.
Looking for an all-season replacement other than the Nitto option in OEM sizing. Has anyone had experience with staggered 305/40/22 paired with 275/45/22. Rolling diameter of the rear would be 31.6 (vs stock of of 31"). Front diameter is 31.7" (vs stock of 31").
So...
1> Will the truck accept the sidewall height without rubbing (appears to be plenty of clearance), and
2> Will the differential accept the marginal .1" delta in rolling diameter between the front and rear?
Many thanks in advance for anyone who has some insights/advice!
Many thanks,
Eric
