AMG TRACK PACE

Does anyone have Track Pace Option in their AMG is it good to have and what exactly does it do. I am leaning towards saying if you don’t intend on taking truck on racetrack it probably is not necessary. Any input appreciated.

It is a track timer. So for the known tracks in the world you can set it and it will use GPS to calculate your schematics. Speed, cornering, lap times, etc. You sound like you do not take your GLE to a track so that wont benefit you.
And it has a built in 0-60 and 1/4 mile timer. But that also is useless, because it only is available for you as well as you can literally find the biggest down hill mountain and test it and you will be the fastest GLE ever.
If you want to know your true performance times for 0-60 1/4 mile or 60-130mph typically you would want to use a Dragy it costs well under $100 and it is the well known car performance measuring tool that keeps everyone consistent with measuring slope, and you can use it in any car.

It's standard on many AMGs, specifically the S models and the higher trims such as the GTs. I wouldn't pay extra for it frankly. MB USA continues to refuse to support the companion phone app that would allow downloading the data and add more tracks. I've used it only once so far during my European Delivery when I did a few laps on the Nürburgring. But to the point of the missing app, I lost all the data recently after a factory reset of the COMAND system. If you do go to the track, have the HUD and the track itself is actually preloaded on the system, then you get the braking zones displayed in the HUD. That's kinda cool, but I didn't opt for the HUD in my car. You can record any track yourself, but that doesn't come with the braking zones. In my C63 it only has the Nürburgring and one or more other tracks in Europe. None of the US tracks are loaded, so it's completely useless here anyway. They might be preloading more tracks in later models, but we'd really need the app so we can download tracks and upload them to the system in the car. It's a neat idea, but the ecosystem and the execution is severely lacking in North America. We got the short end of the stick as is often the case.

I have the app and it monitors 80 different functions such as brake pressures steering angle slip angle acceleration pedal pressure - it's an exhaustive list and useful in analyzing your driving. Obviously on track is more useful than off track.
I have the app on my phone (separate thing by Mercedes) and here's a list of what IT does (in conjunction with the onboard car app):

I can't find the app on Android play store now, someone on the forum gave us a link and I downloaded it. I'll try to find the link again.

Although it doesn't have all the major tracks installed, just doing one lap on the circuit you're driving, records that course, and you can divide it into sectors. Now it's on there next to the Nurburgring.
Here's a lap at a local track:

The track map above is done without the app.

The phone app records all of the above plus records a video of either the track or you as the driver (selfie mode).

Even though there are 80 parameters monitored, you can only display three at a time either on the app or on your instrument cluster.

At the track It shows your comparative time versus another lap that you select. Can show a phantom you that you overtake or fall behind, or it can show it as time gained or lost compared to that selected lab.
It's really pretty comprehensive.
