How to size spacers?
I have a 22 GLE63s that has the 22" wheels. Specs show an offset of 55 in the front and 53 in the rear. I purchased a square set of nice Road Force RF22 rims with with 285/45r22 Scorpion All-seasons from a guy that had them on his GLE580. I went to install them tonight and it looks like I'll need some spacers to make them work, as the lug bolts bottomed out and the rims are pretty close to the calipers (they clear, but too close for comfort). How do I figure proper spacing for the front and rear? I know the spacers need to be hub centric, and it would seem that I can use my stock lug bolts, as they are too long for the RF22s - just not sure how to be sure I've got the right thickness spacers. I'm thinking of calling Road Force tomorrow to get their offset and then subtract the two - will that do it, or is it more complicated than that? Other advice?

There's a tire size comparison calculator at tiresize.com that will let you experiment with sizes and offsets. The offsets on your new wheels should be embossed on the inside surface. A spacer that compensates for the difference should be about where you want to start.
