2025 GLE63 "Emotion start" not working

I have a 2025 GLE63 SUV with 150 miles on it. I have noticed that the "emotion start" does not work. it worked just fine on my 2024 GLE53 . Any thoughts on why the emotion start does not work? I'm in the US. Thank you in advance

Not sure when they disabled this option but my 2024 GLE 63S AMG SUV has Emotion Start and it works great. The ship date on my GLE was Nov 2023 for reference.

Just put it in sport+ or Race (I guess on the track) and floor instead : )

It happened at different points in time depending on the lifecycle of the model, but it's officially discontinued at this point. It was recently confirmed by AMG in the Private Lounge that Emotion Start is no longer an available feature.

I wonder why they removed it I think you explained the reason before but I can't find that post. Do you mind explaining it again?

Thanks for the information. Would you happen to have a link for the AMG Private Lounge statement confirming this?

Unfortunately, the Private Lounge still doesn't have any search capabilities, so I can't find it anymore.

Right. I would like to see some sort of formal statement from MB that mentions this is no longer an option. In any build sheets or anything else similar.

It is no longer in the owner's manual. It was dropped from the 2023 September owner's manual onward (MY2024). It was in there before.

Last mention of Emotion Start in the owner's manual: https://www.mbusa.com/en/owners/manu...s-amg-vehicles.

So looks like it was dropped for MY2024 onward.

Okay good point. I have a 2024 GLE 53 and I still have it. My build was in mid 2023. And my manual mentions it. But if for 2025 it no longer does then that makes sense. Oh well.

I guess that pinpoints when it got dropped. Builds before September 2023 have it, but builds afterwards no longer do.

I saw this post and figured I'd add a bit. I ordered a 2024 AMG GLE 63 s last year in April and it has emotion start. Door sticker manufactured date: 05/24. Picked it up from the dealership on 06/26/2024. The MY24_AMG GLE Owners manual has emotion start listed on page 8 and in 3 places in the index on pages 51|52|53.

What might shed more light on this would be knowing the manufacturing date of your engine. While the car's manufacturing date is 05/24, the engine will have an earlier date as AMG has an inventory of engines. Emotion Start is a function of the engine. It's possible that during the transition period there are vehicles leaving the factory with engines that were built several months earlier and therefore may have features that more recently built engines no longer have. Especially in case of the GLE as the engine is built in Germany and then has to be first shipped to Alabama before it can be put into an actual vehicle. I'm guessing MBUSA also keeps an inventory, so they don't have to wait for engines to arrive. So potentially your engine could be much older than your car.

I know where to find the engine serial number info but I haven't seen an area with the engine manufacturing date. I know the service techs at my local MB dealership pretty well. I'll see if they can/will get that for me.

Perhaps through the data card but I think that only shows the entire vehicle's build date.

I wonder if the alternative of putting it in sport+ or Race before starting engine will be better than nothing?

Was remote starts only good for warm starts? Cold starts it would not do anything anyways right?

Pretty much yes. It doesn't do anything when cold starting. Cold start is already louder. It makes the warm start a bit more interesting with a few crackles from the exhaust. It's not really anything to write home about.
