Moving forward from 2019 GLE 63s to 2023 GLE 63s
Having the M157 engine in my 2019 to the M177 engine in the 2023. Any issues with the rear main seal on the later variants of the M177. I have 2020 E63 with the M177 and haven't had any issues to date. Did they make changes moving forward?
Also the exhaust on the M157 is aggressive with the pops and bangs. How do the 2021 and newer GLE 63s coupes with the M177 sound in comparison, similar to my 2020 E63 or more subdued?

2023 GLE63s 55 Edition, 2021 Explorer ST, 2018 E63s Wagon
This is my first GLE63s (2023), I'll say that my 2015 CLS M157 exhaust was lovely to the ears. The GLE63s is very relaxed in comparison, very kind on the ears as my wife would say lol. I just got the GLE so I'm still figuring it out as well, it hasn't grown on me just yet.

The rear main seal issue was mostly on earlier M177s, pre-2020. Your 2023 should be fine; they made revisions.
The exhaust on the 2021+ GLE 63S is more subdued than your M157, and even a bit tamer than your E63. Fewer aggressive pops and bangs due to GPFs.
Yes, the 2021+ models have Race Start (AMG Dynamics). Emotion Start was also present until mid-2024. You'll get the drama on startup.
