Now that BMW has announced they will offer 3-series in USA with 6 cylinder engine, I have my doubts Mercedes will send their 4 engine to USA.

Whatever they do, of course, it will be for both the C-class and the GLK.

With the looming recession, coupled with the incredible MPG figures & low exhaust emissions on these new 4 cyl bluetec motors, we NEED them here in the USA.

IMO GLK with 2.2L diesel would be a home run for MB.

Especially if it can obtain MPG figures in the very high 30's to low 40's with the AWD system in the heavier GLK chassis

I don't think this is indicating what the GLK will have, but what the concept model has. If anything the GLK will get the same 3.0L V6 diesel found in every other Bluetec/CDI model.
