Taking Orders Now
Stopped by my dealership this weekend and got to talking to my salesman who informs me that they are now taking orders for the GLK. The demo unit will be in sometime early December and the first production units will be in showrooms in January. Just giving people some heads up, hasn't been much info coming across here lately. While I for one wouldn't buy something I haven't seen, I suppose if you really want to be the first on your block with a GLK you could order one and work out a deal with your dealership that if you don't like it you can get your deposit back. Shouldn't be too hard, I'm sure they will have people lined up to get it because its new. Also, my salesman quoted a M.S.R.P. of $38k and some change, but didn't have solid numbers or options yet. Funny how you can order a car and yet you would have no idea what it is going to cost you.

Ya I dont get why they dont get out the price. The truck is being made, they know how much it cost to build it so whats with teh last min pricing? I wonder if it has somthing to do with keeping the compeditors out of the loop.
Im guessing it will be priced very well, just like the value story on the C.

And expect to pay every bit of $48k - $49k for the first ones, Benz likes to load up the first models with everything under the sun. Guess it has something to do with wanting to show off what the new model can do...and maybe they just want to make a killing off options.
I'm interested in the GLK but after buying a new C class shortly after it came out I learned my lesson. It's not really the problems that I've experienced buying a first year model (there have been a few but all under warranty) its the huge drop in price after a year on the market. I was a little sad and a little mad at seeing left over 2008 C 300's with more options than mine selling for $5k - $7k less than what I paid. Lesson learned...wait at least a model year for the hype to die down, then begin looking.

i think benz realizes what is going on in the market and thats why the car will enter in lower the the x3 and about the same price as the rdx.
