Also, it's time to update what you drive...how does GLK compare to the old X3?
The X3 I had was a 2006 model, there is no comparison between the GLK and X3 in terms of the ride, the transmission and cabin noise. The X3 has a stiff ride and the transmission (5 speed auto) is not as smooth as the GLK. I think the seats in the BMW are better because they fit more snugly. I drove the '09 version of the X3 when comparison shopping and they haven't fixed the ride, the noise is better but not quite as good as the GLK but while the transmission is better (now a 6 peed) I still don't think the transmission is as smooth as the GLK. The other point in the X3's favor was the vehicle servicing being "included"...I know you ultimately pay for it but it is a nice touch.

In terms of the aesthetics of the cars the GLK has way more road presence than the X3. The picture below illustrates this point.

yea GLK def has more presence on the road than X3. But X3 is 6 years old.

I don't think maintenance not being included is a big deal as GLK only requires it once a year. I agree tho that it's still a nice touch by BMW. What's the third car? 3 series?

A Subaru legacy...AWD is pretty much required (IMHO) in the northwest.
