picked her up a couple of days ago and put on the chrome door cups and 20% tints - hooked up a 360 to the tvs in the back. Next will be to get 20" black rims with a red lip and painting the calipers red

welcome to the MB World. That front tint looks nice, I wish they were legal where I am.

I must be missing something but isn't playing xbox or ps3 better on 52 inch TV screen unless you have kids to keep entertained on very long road trips I guess.

Can't wait to see black rims with red lip on GLK. Haven't seen painted red callipers on GLK yet but whenever I see them, I think...ghetto (not talking about 6 piston big brake sets). Maybe it'll look ok with red lip on the rim.

I go up to the cottage a lot so when I stay there overnight and it gets boring at night - something to do. It looks fine on the smaller LCDs - its SD but can't complain! The wheels are going to run me around $3000, so that probably wont happen for the next 2-3 weeks and I'll definitely post when I get it.

I absolutely LOVE this car. I love it 100x more than when i purchased it. Many features and options to play with.

The TVs weren't in my plans from the start but they couldn't find me a car that I wanted without them - I'm glad I have them.

Congrats again... where you from T.O.?? Which rims are you planning on getting?

Does anyone know what the offsets are on the GLK?

I'm in richmond hill - I'm still looking around for the rims but I have a set in mind (forget the brand).

Not too sure on the offsets but the wheel shop had them.

Ever tried getting outta the back seat with those running boards? About as graceful as a three-legged moose. They make you feel like a right moron... but damn if they don't look hot. Glad it's just my kids sitting back there.

We don't get this color in US for GLK, I thought Palledium Silver same as Iridium Silver, but yours looks darker (in between steel grey and silver). How come no 20's or MM package?

I love this color. I was actually looking for this color however we didn't have it in Canada. So I got steel grey in stead.

Sure you do (get Metallic Palladium Silver). See the M-B USA web site and click on the "Build a Vehicle" link. The color Palladium Silver has been a choice since late April. And you're exactly correct, it's positioned midway between Steel Gray and Iridium Silver. A great color, IMO.

No 20s because the mandatory winter tires in 20-inch size are extraordinarily expensive over here. Plus, we ski nearly every weekend during the season and frequently need tire chains to get to our ski areas. The local M-B dealer says chains are a non-starter on 20s. In fact, 17s are the standard here on the German version for those reasons...winter tires and chains.

No MM package for several reasons... #1, after reading the thread about how you folks use the RVC, I decided I'd get limited utility out of that piece of equipment; #2, the European navigation database can't be loaded on the USA spec hard drive (some licensing issue); #3, the standard audio system sounded just fine when I took the GLK demo home for a weekend (probably many years of flying jets ruined my hearing); #4, my military-provided Blackberry has Bluetooth disabled for security reasons so EVC was of little use to me; #5, no SIRIUS Radio nor SIRIUS Traffic reports here. Bottom line, three grand was more than I wanted to spend for all these things I can't use for the three years I'll be here in Germany. And I'll likely sell the GLK over here rather than ship it back to the USA anyway. So there was no need to buy an option I probably will never use in the USA.

Looks like you really did you homework with all of the options.

I need to get mudflaps too before winter comes.

My dealer in Shanghai (Yan'an Lu location) told me mudflaps for the GLK don't exist! Now I've got Shanghai road scum sprayed up my front doors every time it rains. Any idea how much they cost back in Canada/the US? Might pick some up when I'm back visiting...

why do people blank them? I understang so there is not trace between your car and what you post but why for insurance purposes? or if you are a dick on the forums so somebody doesn't find your car? any other reasons?

Did you have the window tint done yet? I'm still debating about it. Let me know your what you think.

btw, I see you have the carpet mat. Did the dealer throw you the rubber mat? I'm think of buying before the winter comes.

I'm sure you've heard it before, but wheathertech are really good. I read somewhere they actually make GLK OEM mats that MB charges 100 bux for a pair. You can get all 4 from wheathertech for that price. I have front ones. They have very good fit and finish.

I'd say yes, because the one I got has ribs and is able to hold dirt/water, not sure what MB mats they sell in Canada, but in US they would not hold crap in them as well. And I really doubt stealership would have them for the same price.
