After some digging around, the guy here below quoted $750 for front and rear bumper, mirrors, 1/4 hood and fenders. no headlights, he doesn't recommend it, mentioned something about trapping heat and scattering lights.
He also mentioned that 3M just bought out ventureshield...

Let me know what you find in NJ, I visit there quite frequently. Perhaps there is better deals there.

The additional $75-$100 for headlight coverage is money well spent. Todays headlights are very expensive when you have to replace a shattered plastic cover over one; make sure you get that done. There is no issue with 'heat entrapment' or 'light scattering'.

So I found a guy from ClearBraNJ.com. They would come to me (55 miles away) to install the film. They use ventureshield, that bish mentioned. Bumper, fenders (partially), hood (partially), mirrors, and headlights $595. I need to ask if he would cover rocker panels too.

Silver is a great colour for a 'clear bra' in that it is very difficult to see until you are very close to it.
Get some Turtle wax 'ice' wax and when the film has cured somewhat, (btw park the GLK in the sun as much as possible initially), apply the 'Ice'. Keep it 'waxed' every 3-4 months, and it should last forever.

Bish, do you have some pics including close-ups. I want to see how noticable the film line is on the hood. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the link, I think I came across this site. I decided not to do the clear bra for a few reasons:
1) It's expensive. 600 for ventureshield, 800 for new pre-cut 3M, 1000 for 3M custom cut. You can repaint bumper/hood for that much.
2) I saw in on a couple of black cars and didn't like it. I know pictures look amazing, but in real life you can see the line, and difference in reflection of light.
3) It's not a show car, it's an entry level suv. It will be a little dirty all the time, and at that point you can't see whether you have a few dings on the bumper, but you can always see the lines and the dirt accumulating along them.
4) I got GLK in sliver grey so it can hide any dings and scratches.
5) Lastly I don't do much highway driving in a lot of traffic, so not much stuff is flying at me. I washed the car myself after 350 miles and did not come across a single chip anywhere.
6) I'm curious to see how many dings I'll really get over the 5-7 years, and how strong MB's paint really is.
7)Why preserve the look of the car for the next owner, I'll enjoy it myself for now.
I'm sure it's amazing product, and if I was doing lots of highway driving I'd get in a heart beat.
Thanks to everybody for your thoughts and opinions.
