Anyhow, the GLK's my Dad's and he's 57. I personally prefer BMWs because MB's just make me feel old! (current ride is E90 328xi)
But my parents (case in point) have stuck with MB ever since moving on from Volvos.

I was class of 98, a lot of nice cars in Rose Garden. Even they don't get a permit, rich students would park their nice cars there.
I notice in Richmond & Vancouver, most GLK owners are 40-60 females.
One time at Oakridge, right at the intersection of Cambie and 45th, there were 3 GLKs waiting to turn left at the same time. There are just way too many GLKs here, even more than Civics, but not as many as X5.

Hahaha no I'm actually @ SFU, but that really doesn't seem to make a difference, because I've been to UBC quite a few times, & the quality of cars there seems to be on par with SFU (at least in my opinion)!!! It just blows my mind though! Oh well...I have that star I'm obsessed with on my steering wheel! & one day...I'm going to drive the even more luxurious ones...difference though will be that I'll be able to pay for it in full myself, rather than having to rely on my parents!

Just to jump into this "kids and nice cars" discussion. We had one kid driving CL500 (that's last gen), and another kid driving last gen SL65 AMG (not 63, the 200k SL65). He got into accident and the rumor was that slight damage cost 30k to fix. No wonder those cars cost more to insure that GLK to own.

2023 E450 ALL-TERRAIN WAGON
Just bought mine yesterday - picking up Monday - I am 56 going on 18.

This is our 6th Benz in past 12 years or so.

Years ago we also had a 1965 190C & a 1972 280SEL that I regret ever leaving behind when we movd from NYC to Dallas.

We also have a 2004 E320 wagon.

The GLK replaced an 2008 Infiniti M35 that was totaled when some idiot ran a red light but luckily everyone was OK.

29 and my first new car.

It would be interesting to know how many people on here are leasing (or who's parents are leasing...) I bought mine cash after saving for 5 years. It's funny when people who lease say they are the owners of a new car!

Nope, lol but I can understand where you are coming from. There certainly are more GLKs on the road now but I find it to be no more than any other vehicle. You tend to notice/look out for your car on the road more than others.

I'm 26 btw. And I see nothing wrong with people saying their ride is theirs even if it is on a lease. Some people prefer to have a change of vehicle every few years, some people manage their cash flow differently, or for whatever reasons they choose. IMO it's still theirs at the end of the day (yea I know it technically isn't).

exactly... technically not yours at the end of the day.

But I do see the advantage of being able to switch it up every few years. Plus leases can be better for you from a tax perspective depending on what your income looks like.

Hey, as long as your driving it right!

I know but chances of you seeing someone who got a new GLK and them saying something like "no it's not mine I'm just leasing it" isn't very high. We like to have our cake and and it too I'm leasing mine just because of cash flow reasons, I wanted to buy it out but I decided to allocate the difference to investments instead. I know I would tell people it's my new car haha
