Coin holder?

A lot of other cars I've owned have a coin holder built into the center console or the glove box, but I can't seem to find anything like that in the GLK. I've tried putting coins in the little rubber bin hidden under the left side of the center console arm rest, but the coins rattle around enough that it becomes annoying. Does anyone have any ideas? I park at coin-operated parking meters a lot, so I like to keep plenty of spare change in my car.

I have this coin holder from old days that you stuff with change, and it fits in that small place perfectly, like they were designed for each other.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking about getting. Glad to know it fits in that small bin.

I do the same. Put a credit card in there for gas emergencies. I know it's not secret or anything but it's out of sight behind the sliding door. In fact I had to read the manual to find the ash tray, I assumed it didn't have one.

Same for me, I removed the ash tray for coins and store my gas card and other cards in the little bin under the left side of the center console arm rest.

Use an old sock, it stops the rattle, and fends off bad guys, Charles Bronson style, when you need it. Besides, every once in a while I drive past a homeless guy asking for spare change. You should see their face when I say no, but i have a spare sock. Then I tell them to come back tomorrow and they will have a pair.

GLK already has a coin holder
I was surprised to see that no one realized that the glove compartment already has a small coin holder located on the backside of the door.

Which reminds me ........... I finally got the sticky tape that I used to re-stick the surround on WET. It's still stuck ..... must go update that thread.
