Comand Navigation volume level

I find the turn by turn level way too loud and it freakin' scares me half the time, does any one know if and how to adjust the navigation volume level on the GLK? In my previous two systems (Alpine navigation units) I could always adjust the level to my liking but I have yet to find instructions on how to do this on the GLK.

Hopefully you guys know the magic submenu command that will save me from spilling coffee on myself repeatedly.

doesn't the stereo volume adjust the nav. voice volume? i also find that the bluetooth volume doesn't go very loud. especially on the expressway, i can barely hear who i'm talking to. i usually turn off the bluetooth then.

read the manual, i think you can adjust while she is talking, but I'm not 100% sure, I adjusted it once when I got the GLK as it was way too loud

thanks guys, I've been going thru the manual but have yet to come across mention of it. I'll take her for a spin this morning and set up a destination for me to see what happens.

Taking delivery today, will try and remember the sales rep. If he/she knows, since I have found the knowledge base on the forums much more.

Navigation volume adjustment

When she speaks simply adjust the volume control to the desired level.

You may not be 100% sure, but your are 100% right! Push volume up while she is talking.

thanks everyone you are all correct. I also happened to be at the dealership just now to get some mud flaps and they said as much.

The manual suggests you say the word "Help". This starts her talking for a long time and you can adjust the volume until you get it to where you prefer.

Got delivery and figured it out, while she is talking you just turn the noob on volume control, to lower or increase.

I've got the same problem. I posted a thread about a month ago and wasn't really able to find a solution.

The Comand lady comes back loud the next time you start the vehicle. The volume setting is not permanent. Muting doesn't work for her either. Kinda like SWMBO.

Since it sounds like a software problem ( my volume holds after startup/radio reduces w command instructions), have you asked about a firmware update?

The volume up/down is the answer as described above. For those who are having volume issues w/bluetooth, have you tried going to the individual bluetooth phone "options" and adjust the incoming/outgoing volumes?
