Head Lights Position Indication Lighting

I noticed at night I cannot tell what position I set the head light switch at. The switch it self has lights that come on at night, but the other icons on the outside of the panel side do not seem to have any lights in them. So at night unless I turn on the dome lights I cannot see what position the switch at.

So this is a long way of me asking, are the outer markings supposed to have lights behind them and turn on when the instruments lights come on?

Thanks.

no lights on those. but how oftern do you really set it? I just leave it at A and never touched it. Same goes for the wipers too.... the rain sensor works great! its better than BMW or infiniti (personal experience)

+1 mine are in setting 0 (12 o'clock) with DRL's on so lights are always on anyways, but I know by now what each click of the switch does. Plus, once you turn it you'll see what happens. However, I think there are headlights, front and rear fog lights indicators (3 total) on the switch.

THere are 3 positions. 0- A-Automatic (which (current set position), and one last one. If you pull one click, it turns the fogs, and two clicks has the rear fog light, + front fogs + headlights on.

Just realized, if you turn the fog lights on. It will NOT switch off automatically when you lock your car. Good thing is that there is a chime reminder when you do that.

Yes, I did that couple of times as well, and then realized the mistake... it clearly tells you to switch your lights off in the instrument panel.
Oh well, not making the dumb mistakes anymore...

Been on a business trip for 12 days so can't really say for sure, but those lights on the bottom are reflectors. In regards to the rear fog light, when activated the driver side top light will always be on.

+1, when you turn fogs on there are two positions, first one is for the front fogs, second (pull the knob out all the way) truns rear fog light in addtion (please be considerate to others and turn it on when you actually need it, as it's very annoying to follow somebody with one bright red light)
