Need some help.
I've had my GLK for almost 5months now. When i hit 3000 miles the "check engine oil" indicator came up on my dash. I just closed it and didnt really pay attention to it because I figure it was just how MB was built to alert drivers every 3000miles to check engine oil. But anyways, today I finally checked my oil and it was running low....
So, my question is....What brand and type of engine oil is the recommended use for the GLK?
Im uncertain with the difference between 5w40 or 10w40 ???

i think it might also tell you on a sticker when you open the hood, not sure if type of the oil is also there, but remember seeing Mobil 1 sticker
also keep in mind that when taking dip stick out it might be dry, and you have to put it back and take it out again for proper measurement (see manual for more details).
