Cabin Filter
I didn't need it yet since the car is brand new. But since I perform all the preventive maint. on our cars... I needed to know where it was located. I do not trust dealerships at all... only with warranty issues... and even then I don't trust them.
Depending on the amount of driving you do... I change the cabin filter every 12 -15 mo.

Just as you are maintaining your cars wisely, I was told by an MB Parts Mgr, that he maintains his oil changes at 5K and he has clocked over 205000 miles on his mid 90 190 series Kompressor.

With shipping I paid like $43 from a dealer on east coast that gives discounts.
On west coast, this is saving me $95 from my B service. Most of all it keeps them out of my interior!!!
I'll post how dirty the filter was after 2 years.
It's a bit trickier than I thought to get all the clips and sliding snaps to let the filter out, and to lock the new one in. Spent about 70 minutes on it.
However, after 22 months and 23,000 miles, the original one was very dirty, with some bugs and things thrown in too.
Glad I replaced it.
Perhaps it's a bit easier to do with GLK a bit higher off ground. Not sure.
Again, not easiest thing, but if you're used to fiddling, you might give it a try using that Mann PDF file.
