They are chrome, not galvanized. You could probably source them from a Canadian dealer.

2013 GLK lug bolts

I'm in Canada and have been looking at 2013 GLKs at dealers.

I can see 2 kinds of lug bolts -- 1) chrome & flower-petal shaped heads (posted by Gt. Dane above), and 2) black ones with straight-edge hexagon heads.

I cannot see any grey painted ones shown by the OP.

The 2 kinds of bolts appear to be random across 2013 GLK 250s and 350s, though presumably both kinds are Mercedes factory equipment.

Anyone knows how they compare? Will the chrome ones hold up just as well as the black ones in terms of eliminating rust surfaces on the heads?

Thank you.

Wheel nuts

I have the 2013 250 and mine look the same as GT Dane with lock nuts.

Thanks Bwadd. The sales staff couldn't tell me the logic of which model, which wheel, or production month gets equipped with which lug bolts, however they an do a swap to provide either the chrome or the black bolts to my liking.

I'm purchasing a lighter body colour GLK so thinking the chrome bolts would look better. Just wondering about their durability compared with the black bolts.

One option is to polish the bolt heads. I did this, some years ago, on my MB, and they looked very nice. You can put something on the polished surfaces to help keep them from corroding.

Thank you MB-JIM. I'm trying to pick up the right bolts at vehicle delivery, hopefully not needing to deal with rusted bolts for a long long time.

I think the chrome bolts look nice on polished rims & lighter body colours, and I'll go for them if they hold up well.

The black bolts should work better on black/darker rims & body colors.
