2010 Barolo Red-Almond/Black GLK 350, 2008 Cadillac Gold Mist LUX III DTS
New guy. Picked up GLK350 Today
A base Model with Ipod Adapter and Barolo Metallic Red.
Traded a 2003 Nissan Murano and cash for it.
$34420 minus Trade in plus Pre-del Charge, and TTL Made it $37000 out the door.
Hi everybody.
Retired Computer dude here.
Worked for several manufacturers such as RCA, Interstate, and Tandem plus some allied companies...
Was a Hardware Engineer, Software Analyst and instructor in both......ending my career as a Sales Analyst with a software company.
My first Mercedes at the age of 72.
Will likely look for some chrome bits and pieces, but nothing major.
Will also have a Homelink/Compass rear view mirror installed in the next few days.
Love the way it drives tho I would have preferred a bit more feeling in the steering.
Not sure all is well with the iPod adapter but have not had enough time to work with it......Assume that MB will stand behind it if something is not right.
Hope to learn a lot around here......

Hi Guys.
Thanks for the welcome.
This iPod adapter is the one that MB has as an option. Cable in the Glove compartment and info on the Driver Info Screen. It plays OK, tho I don't consider this system too "musical"......
It's just that I could have sworn that I saw a message on the iPod that said something like "this adapter does not provide charging" or some such...
But today, I don't see that......so maybe everything is OK...maybe the connection was not well made before..........
Also the next/last track buttons on the steering wheel seem strange......very slow acting? Hard to explain.....
So far so good.
Just a passing question....
Temp runs above halfway on the gauge......I assume this is Normal?
Wanted to put a Homelink Mirror in this car....not available.......will take it by our local Auto Tunes store and see what they think about mounting a Universal Homelink "somewhere"........
I'm a little mad at myself.
I set Homelink and iPod as absolute requirements and let the sales guy smoke me....Now I have to find the answer myself. Grrr.
