Can I take it bake to the stealership and have them program out the default to "C"? Drives me nuts how it goes to comfort everytime I start it. The earlier models stayed where you left them.

Thanks for any input.

Get over it... it's one little button that you have to push!

Probably not, but then again I'm always in C mode so I wouldn't know really.

Don't you like being comfortable?? In the manual it does say that "the last selected program mode (C or S) is switched on when the engine is restarted." It also says to have the car in 'park' when switching modes. So maybe before you shut off the car make sure it's in 'S' mode while in park.

The newer models default to C every time the car is started. This was explained to me as an effort by MB to increase fuel mileage.

I know there are people that enjoy C, but I want it to stay in S. Simple. I don't want to keep pushing the damn switch. My wife's C class stays in S, a loaner GLK from the dealer (an early unit) stays in S. I don't like the reduction in feel in acceleration.

Nor do I... so I push the S button every time I start my GLK... and it's only made me late for meetings 2 or 3 times!!
