Remove power plug?

Anybody know how to get the plug out of the power socket in the front........that which we used to call the Cigarette lighter socket?

Our GLK has an actual cigarette lighter in the socket. The one in the glove compartment is covered by a flap. I have no idea how a filler plug would be manufactured to be so difficult to remove. You may have something else going on there.

I'm sure I don't don't have to tell mine doesn't look like that. Sorry I couldn't steer you in the right direction.

No problemo. Took it by the dealer. Here is the problem and what they surmise....

That IS the top of the Lighter!
They managed to get it out without scratching anything.
What cute little lighter! (Seriously,if I still smoked I would laugh at that thing. Who wants a lighter that is "cute". LOL!)

Anyway, my car was a Showroom Queen.
They surmise that people who get in cars in the showroom push and twist everthing.
Somebody forced this one in and it hung up somehow.
That probably caused the fuse to blow when they turned the power on.

Unfortunately I got there just as the shop was closing so I have to bring it in next week to have them fix it. As of now there is no power to the socket.

Thanks. You were right.......I did have something else going on.........

From your posted image, I wasn't able to tell there was something inside. Your explanation makes perfect sense.

I think you probably have to order it. Most manufacturers.....at least Cadillac, Ford, BMW and Nissan here in the US....offer a "smokers Package" for just a few dollars more.

nah dealer prolly took it out and forgot to put it back in. Mine came with ashtray which I took out, so it looks like yours now.
