My new GLK's Sirius is already turned on. I thought we had to activate this?

If it comes with the car. When was it actually activated? When the dealer first received the car? Or the night I bought the car?

I didn't touch it and no sales persons mentioned anything about it. So I am wondering if I actually have 6 months from the day I bought the car. Or whatever time the dealer received the car from Germany.

What do you guys think?

Call Sirius. They can tell when it was activated.

In the radios menu you will find the serial number of the Sirius receiver. You will need that to identify the vehicle. Normally when you activate the Sirius radio you do it while you are in the car on your cell. They want your name and other information. See who registered it and how long ago.

The dealer activated mine, have you actually asked the dealer if they did this?

This is correct.... SIRIUS is now dealer activated at time of sale.... the reason? Many new car buyers weren't doing it.... or they waited too long to do it.... thus the free promo wasn't getting enough exposure... remember... auto manufacturers who agreed to put SIRIUS into their cars get a piece of the $ action... they're now obligated to activate the system the day they sell the car.
