Need "Audio" button on panel

In future versions of the COMAND console, it would be nice to have a physical button labeled "Audio" that returns you to the Audio tab regardless which audio source is playing.

When on medium to long drives, it is common for me to switch between Nav and the audio somewhat regularly. I primarily use the Memory Card (PCMCIA ) for playback. When I want to go back to viewing the memory card audio view, I have to use the dial to go out of nav full screen, push up to the top, rotate right 1 click to "Audio", push down, and down again, etc. If there was a "audio" button to take me there, this would be ideal. If I am listening to the Radio, I can accomplish this just by pressing "Radio" on the console, but if I am listening to the memory card, pressing "Radio" stops playback and switches to one of the last listened to radio stations, etc.

Anyways, my 2c.

PS: I do know I can use the |<< and >>| next to the volume control to advance songs regardless the audio device and I know the same can be done from the LCD screen navigation on the steering wheel, but I would still like to be able to switch to the audio view to switch audio folders, see how long songs are, what the current song position is, etc etc.

Seriously?? I figured it worked just like the Radio button, but for the CD player. I will give it a try.

I use "Voice Activation"

just say "Memory Card" then it will go back from Navi screen.

+1, the easiest way for me, just say 'memory card' and 'navigation' to switch between.

I can confirm it does work. Thanks for the tip.

It looks like the system considers the Memory Card part of the Disc Changer system because it is listed in addition to the 1..6 discs and the musc register when you choose the "Changer" option in the menu.
