Brake Dust
I don't see why this is a problem though. Yea, you have to clean the wheels a lot more...but what do you expect when you throw breaks this size on the car? Not a whole lot you can do while maintaining the performance of the car.

Thanks for the Rejex suggestion. I just ordered some and only ended paying 22.00 with shipping. I like that it helps with the bug addiction to the front bumper because I do get some highway driving in and go through gnat territory.

Some people are annoyed, but none of this enough to get Mercedes, BMW, etc. to fit poorer-performing brake pads. But lots of these are available from aftermarket sources. For many USA-sited Mercedes, the day the car is driven off the lot new is the day it has the best tires and brakes it will ever have.
Try these... 50% less dust, better stopping power: http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com...nz-GLK350-2010

They're NOT a full ceramic pad but a Kevlar pad (with "ceramic particles"). (NOT THE SAME DUDE!... no matter what you say or what they advertise to the public.) They're NOT fully ceramic for a good reason. Look closer... because they "contain ceramic particles", and are mostly Kevlar, these are not considered a true full ceramic pad. A full ceramic pad doesn't last very long... therefore I'll repeat what I said earlier... do not buy a ceramic pad.... here's a box of Kleenex on me....

MBRedux says they don't know what they are talking about.
You pay your money and you takes your choice as to who knows what.
Here is an interesting story about EBC....

If Akebno doesn't come through pretty quick,I will order a set of these EBCs.
Karburn,I am not even aware that Porterfield makes pads for the GLK.
And be advised that even the famous R4s "carbon Kevlar" pads use ceramics.......
After I got mine swapped out I've noticed like virtually no brake dust anymore, night and day difference. Rims are no longer black after a couple weeks.
I've have a set of these RIGHT NOW on my Nissan....they advertise the word "ceramic" for all those simpletons out there in society who can't figure it out, who pretend to know stuff about cars when they really don't know sh*t about nothing.... like you! It's too complicated to call them "Kevlar" pads because that would confuse about 90% of the *want-to be car nerds* out there... when we who are in THE KNOW just laugh at morons who will not admit when they are wrong!.... like you!A Kevlar pad is NOT a ceramic pad... pure ceramic pads suck for street use.... end of story.... you advised everyone to go out and buy ceramic pads just because they were not happy with their brake dust... that was wrong advice because pure ceramic pads are not recommended for street use.... so don't try and get out of it by hiding behind an ad.... they are NOT ceramic, they are Kevlar and you my friend are stupid to give advice on things you really have no experience with... so please stop or you may get someone killed with ceramic pads for street use.
