Didn't get it. It was $3500, the guy offered it for $3000, but I still didn't take. You can look into extended warranty with your insurance company.
There is a surcharge after 30 days, as they require inspection.

I took it out and paid $3,000. If you are getting an extended warranty you are better off dealing directly with Mercedes and not a middleman. I was told that I could get my money back if I got rid of the car before it kicked in...

Extended warranty
Geico...Has an extended warranty called mechanical Breakdown...are these Auto Insurance policies just a s good???

yes and no...if you sign up with let's say geico you are stuck with them for 6-7 years or you loose your warranty...ext. warranty stays with the car. Same applies if you sell your car early, extended warranty stays with the car and increases resale. On the other hand geico costs 800 bux vs. 3 grand from MB. Also keep in mind how mileage works. If you put lots of miles, or put lot of miles one year later on, it might not make sense to get extended warranty, cuz you might end up with just extra year of coverage thinking you have 3 years. Make sure you understand how ext. warranty works before getting it. There are a lot of other threads on it.
