I see most of the phots the roof rails are aluminum while some I see they are black.

I dont particularly like the black, is the standard the aluminum one?

Black rails are either made before June 2009 (?) due to aluminum rail shortage, or those are without sports package. 2009 post-June have standard aluminum rails.

not in the USA... black is std on the base model.

All CANADA model has Aluminum rails on it

Only if it is made after the aluminum rail shortage is over (for sport package), or it is the non-sport model before they made it standard.

I have non-sport GLK, and my rails are black. There are also GLK with sport (as seen with 20" wheels) but with black rails if they are built earlier

Since then they changed the options so 20" wheels and AL rails are now standard

In the USA this is part of the "Appearance Package" or the "AMG Styling Package".

I dont see it selectable as a Option or Accessory outside the pacakges. Maybe the dealer can installer them separately.
