Gear shift shock
Just bought a GLK a month ago (mileage - 1,000 miles) and very happy with the purchase except gear shift shock. Especially when shifting up and down at lower gears, I can feel the shifting shock (impact). (Sometimes, it gets very noticeable.) Is that common or should I have it checked out?

Remember, this is not a DCT but a modified regular old slush box (with torque converter).... so expect a little *jolt* when shifting with the lever... Now if it's real bad... by all means have it looked at by your dealer... (don't expect much from your service manager) ... and get a second opinion.
