GLK and deep water - no problem

Went over flooded area today (water must have been to the doors). No problem, except brakes got wet and weren't effective on the first squeeze. Rav4 behind me chickened out.

If one moves too quickly through water, a bow wave builds up in front of the vehicle -- sometimes high enough to allow water to be sucked into the engine through the air intake ducts. Thankfully, the GLK's ducts are very high, but this could be a disaster in the making if a cylinder get filled with water. A bent rod is the most likely result and only the start of other problems.
