not true. I have a two week old usa model, and the passenger side view mirror does indeed tilt when i select revers. Please note, as per than manual on page 85 of the owners manual, you must set a reverse position for the mirror.

I have a base Canadian model built in September '09 and I'm not able to make the mirror tilt when shifting to reverse. I have done the following procedure:
1) Started the Car
2) Pressed the right mirror button
3) Placed the Car in reverse
4) Adjusted the mirror
5) Put the Car in Park

This didn't seem to work , anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
100

Yes, I picked my GLK up 3 weeks ago and it does indeed have the right side mirror tilt down when I put it in reverse.
You have to program the position. It's in the manual.

Yes they DO tilt down when you place your USA GLK in REVERSE. They do not FOLD inward to make it easier to get into small, narrow tiny garage spaces (like in Canada...)!!!!

Actually they fold in to eliminate any unnecessary resistance when driving through avalanches and to add addition warmth for passengers inside the vehicle.
