Ipod Connector - drain the car battery?

I noticed that the ipod connector continues to charge an ipod even with the engine off. Any reason to be worried about the car battery?

No problem, It's a trickle charge. As long as you don't charge it for more than a few days without driving the car.

I've had mine hooked up since Sept of 2009 without an issue. The car has sat for at least 10 days without running and started right up.
