Q: rubber floor mat - & - cover in trunk

Question for the people with original MB rubber floor mats.

Does yours also cover the foot rest / carpet area. Mine doesn't, but I have seen a new E-Class yesterday where the rubber also covered the foot rest.
(See attached picture)

Question about the little storage compartment on the right side of the trunk area. Is yours covered or not? Mine isn't, but I've seen one yesterday with a cover. (See also picture of location)

I have weathertec and it's not covered either. The foot rest is made out of rubber so no point to have it covered esp. if you have AMG/Brabus pedals.

Trunk is the same as yours. On the left that's where jack and tooks are, and on right just an open area (I have windex standing in it, convinient so it doesn't leak laying on a side)

Mine is carpet as you can see in the picture. Mine is also an US-version, MY11, picked up on 23 July 2010.
It looks like, if other will confirm, this is another change from MY10 to MY11 which wasn't mentioned before.

Mine is MY11 and the foot rest area is carpet. I have the floor liner and it only covers about a third of the foot rest.

My summer mats cover the foot rest, the winters don't. I have the MB cargo mat and it covers the well that you show in your pix.

Please take a second look at my picture. I wanted to know if there is a separate cover for the storage bin on the right side. Should look like the one on the left side. I also have the cargo mat which covers the whole area but I don't have a cover which is covered with black carpet. The storage bin is open.

I'm asking because I have seen a GLK where this bin was covered and I was wondering if it is missing in my car.

Allan - my right rear storage bin is not covered. NYCGLK said his is not either.

I bought the M-B cargo area tray for the rear, which ends up covering all of the floor anyway. This is the one that has 2" sides and raised squares on the floor area:

It ended up being about the same price as an aftermarket Weathertec (who may OEM this for M-B anyway).

Thanks for your reply. If you take a close look at my second picture you can see the cargo area tray. I just rolled it up for the picture.

By the way.... your dealer forgot to remove the blue tape from your chrome plates. You should take it off before the glue becomes permanent.

Summer mats cover the footrest.
Winters from MB do not.
Winters from Weather-tech partially do.
No cover for the trunk bin (mine is as the same as in your picture.

Our (European market) MY 2010 GLK does have the cover As we ordered the car, do I see no reasons, i.e. packages or options which could make the delivery different from yours.

Confront the dealer with this, request the cover and watch for a response
