Black wheels instead of chrome?

Sounds like you're getting closer to middle age than you might care to admit...
Loving the new ride; so's the wife and child (dog).
My wife likes it but our G37 coupe suites her more; she only takes the GLK if she wants to take the dog somewhere (the dog doesn't do well in the G37).
This is fine with me; the GLK suites me perfectly.
Do you have a GLK or a GL? I see your wife has an ML; a 2-SUV family?

2008 Ml350
I recently sold my SRT8 that I had for years and sunk a lot of dough into. She drives the ML350 and I am in the process of finding something that suits me. I have another work vehicle so its not a rush. I am thinking of a 06 S or possibly a CL. Maybe even an E55 I am just torn.

Balla as in, baller. Could be from the European footballer, as in soccer player to those of us in the States. Some/many of their players are (in)famous for making the headlines like our basketball players seem to specialize in here. Not that our athletes in other sports don't also try.
UrbanDictionary.com is an entertaining source for looking up this sort of definitions, although some of it is politically incorrect (possibly hard NOT to be given the terms defined).
It mentions basketball players. I am not sure whether soccer or basketball is the original source, but have heard it in reference to soccer for years.

Being PC, however, has never been an issue for me.

I read one article that was headlined something like "even at 211 MPH it can't outrun ugly" in reference to the Brabus GLK. I would strongly disagree with that statement.
In terms of trying to duplicate that look, the Brabus had a lot of other work done that is going to make it look different from more stock GLKs. e.g.- the suspension is definitely non-stock and looks like it lowers it significantly. Stick the same wheels on your, de-chrome, and it still won't look like the Brabus one. Just something to keep in mind to set expectations. Your will look pretty sweet; it just won't look exactly like that. But it is a good target to shoot for. And damn, would that thing get some groceries!
The Lorinser body kit looks fairly nice too, and some pics I have seen have of their cars show some interesting split-spoke wheels I hadn't seen before. The ones on the red car look to have a polished lip? Check these out:

But if you have too much polished detail, then the wheel essentially becomes a silver wheel with black accents, and the black then tends to disappear making it look like a silver wheel. So the trick is finding one that is mostly black and with some detail.
Here are some examples of ones that are at least somewhat black with polished accents I didn't look for GLK fit or style match):
Some of those tend to be more of an overall polished wheel with black accents, though.

Here'a a gret shot I found on eBay; chrome on the front, OEM grey on the rear.
You may not be a chrome fan but you have to admit, it does stand out.

My GLK came with those wheels (grey/silver) but we also ordered the optional split-spoke ones. I sold the original ones on eBay.
I checked prices there to get an idea of what to ask for mine, and saw a couple of places that were selling chromed versions as in the pic you posted. I forget the exact price they were asking, but it looked like one place was selling brand new wheels that had been chromed, so the price was for the new wheels (like $650 each) plus another $1,000 or so for the chroming / PVD. So not cheap.
Another place was selling the same chromed/PVDed wheels, but were basically doing a swap or core charge for theirs (meaning they were used).
Another consideration: the GLK is pretty angular, so wheels in an angular style would go well. Ones that are more curved may also work, but those options would probably be less common.

There's a chrome shop in Orange County that will chrome my wheels for $650 (+ $90 for tire R&R) and they give a 5-year warranty.
My MB dealership said they would match that price; since they are about 2 miles from my home I can't pass that up.

I think so, too.
I also like the idea of keeping OEM wheels; no hassles about fit or quality.

I have a black GLK350 and I'm leading towards a mix of black and chrome wheels, like the picture I attached. Any thoughts?
Also, does anyone know if there are ANY Konig wheels that fit the GLK?

You have a $40K plus Benz, please don't get Konig wheels even if they do fit.
That would be like ordering Spaghetti Os and Meatballs with your $45 Bone In filet mignon from Maestros Steakhouse. Not cool.

Huh; I've heard of Konig wheels but I have no experience with them so I didn't know they are cheapies.
I love the stuff I learn on this forum!
