Hi, is the original OEM rearview camera hidden to avoid dust, when the car is going on?

Most rear view cameras are somewhat out of the way so they may not be easily detected. They do get dirty but never that bad that they are not useful. If they moved out of the way it would be just something else to break. Considering the cost of the camera the motor to move it out of the way would be more expensive.
