Too bad the US will not get the new direct injection 350 nor the new 7g tronic plus. I wanted to buy a GLK diesel for 2012 but it isn't being offered and now we are stuck without the new better gas mileage 350. Seems Mercedes thinks no one here cares about gas mileage or new technology on the GLK.

GLK350
Here's an 'official' 2012 CLS interior shot from MBUSA.com:
On a related note, the 2012 CLS was on display when we visited the MB factory in Sindelfingen, Germany in January. However, the doors were locked so we couldn't get a really good look at the interior. The CLS was already on my short list of new vehicles but that interior just may seal the deal! Look forward to seeing it in person at the local dealership soon since this was as close as I've been able to get so far (shot taken in the lobby of the Sindelfingen factory where MB European Delivery and assembly of C, E, S and Maybach vehicles takes place):

2011 GLK350 4MATIC, 2013 GLK350 4MATIC
Don't you feel this interior is too busy and too stressful. Not as relaxed.
I prefer relaxed and luxury than sporty and uptight at least for non-sports cars.

Agreed, and was quite upset that we just bought a 2011 GLK350 last month if this is what we could have gotten a few months from now in a 2012! I've always thought the GLK interior looked a bit outdated/utilitarian from the start and was worried MB thought the same so they were already changing it for 2012. Seems like a change this drastic is something they will save for a "new" ~2015 model versus the 2013 "facelift" so it makes sense that the interior will remain relatively unchanged for a few more years.
