How to remove hatch panel to install backup camera?

Hi, does anyone know how to remove the hatch panel on the GLK to install the backup camera? A procedure or pictures would be helpful.
1000000 Thanks!

No one has done it. We purchased the BUC with the car. Can't be that hard. Open the rear panel from the inside and unbolt it. Running the line and rigging it to your existing system will be fun.

Just buy an aftermarket unit.

The rear panel has no screw covers, very tight, no hints. It is not that easy. Please take a look before you make any comment.

Don't get so snooty... we won't post anymore! The word "unbolt" was used figuratively. It appears you're not too familiar with working on foreign cars. I would then leave it to the experts who do or you may break your car. That rear panel does come off. There are special clips that hold it on. It requires the right tools, strength & patience. Good luck.

Alot of panels these days are held by clips not screws anymore
Gives a more flush finish

I used to work on my w203 and w204 C CLASS inside out, but this one seems very difficult; the rear panel is very tight, no visible clips, if not remove properly, there will be lots of rattle noise.

As MBRedux's said, "I would then leave it to the experts who do or you may break your car."

Why would you even want to try?

The plastic panel is held in by *grip-clips* similar to the pix below. Can't find a pix of the MB clip itself, sorry. Little plastic tabs on the panel are pushed into these clips. The grip holds it on. But to be safe, I would consult your dealership's body shop. And yes, it will probably make noise unless the clips are replaced with new ones after you're done installing your camera.

Here are some shots of what you're in for and tools you'll need. Like always, proceed at your own risk!! Good luck!

or even better...

Ohhhh man, great find!!! I love that they're doing the retro fit right out on a busy street! ... that's hilarious! And the blue film is still on the scuff plates... Yup, there are those clips I was talking about! I like how the handle splits open to help in its removal. But you can just imagine all the new squeaks and rattles.... yikes!

Notice the trim tools they're using are plastic like these only yellow... less damage.
