Wheel Balancing

Is this normal, I think the wheel balancing unit creates scratches inside the wheels/rims? see pics.

I have this in three to four places inside the wheel.

That's not from the spin balancer. Those indents are where the mounting/dismount machine digs into the wheel to hold it in place as the rotating ducktail forces the tire bead into place. Did you have the tire mounted? If yes, well there you go. Not all machine do this by the way.

Thanks for the info, I had my MB rims mounted with my winter tires by my dealer, I took them off on the weekend and noticed the markings, BTW not too happy with this dealer.

When ever I need to have this done again I will diffenately not use my dealer and I will ask before getting it done.

those are definitely not from the wheel balancer
