Rim type of 2011 GLK350
Hi All,
My two rims of 2011 GLK350 have curb srcatch and brought them to two rim repair shops in Toronto for estimation. The quotes I received from two shops are different because one shop told me the rim type is hyper silver which is more expensive while the other told me the rim type is just silver so less expensive. I checked the GLK350 brochure and it is 5-twin-spoke wheel235/45 R20 with sterling silver finish. So it sounds not hyper silver rim.
Does any one know the rim type of 2011 GLK350, silver or hyper silver? Is it sterling silver is hyper silver? I bought the car in Toronto, Canada.
I really appreciate it.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Mazda 5, GLK350
Well at the end it's just a clearcoat painted rim as long as it's not the amg ones. And no it really shouldn't cost more than normal cuz it's not really special as majority of mb line up rims are this silver

Thanks for response, Kyoshiro.
I guess the hyper silver and silver paint are different. I just want to make sure the clearcoat paint they put on the rim after fixing the scratch matches with manufacture paint, either hyper silver or silver, that I have on the other two rims.
Thanks again,
Rubam

GLK 350 4Matic, G35, Ford Ranger FX4II
Mercedes will repair them for $250 per rim (on average). They use a third party on-site guy who does the repair that day. Don't know what your repair shops are charging, thought I'd share my experience.
Cheers
