I have to say most people I see driving them are twice our age.

I bought mine when I was 26yo and in med school...but I think I deserve it for being in the military...
I was just talking about what I see on the roads. Most younger guys opt for C-class/3 series/GTI/G37.
GLK hit the spot for me, perfect 4 season versatile car, although it's not as fun as C or 3er. I really enjoy driving C300 rental around when GLK is in service.
"Sure, we just tagged the walls behind us with graffiti, but we don't want to deface this car."

First it's an OLD picture... seen it for years, even before it hit our shores. Second, it's a Euro model with those black bumper accents, etc. (Kinda looks cool IMO, especially with the black side rail and larger wheels).
But around these parts (Potomac, Md., McClain Va. etc) I see kids 18-22 driving GLK's all the time... it's no real shocker. In fact, that's who the car was meant for. It's an entry level Merc like it or not, aimed at the youthful demographic.
What's wrong with that? You need to build a loyal market base to stay in business, why not start with this car? (Besides, to all you youth haters, how do you know that those weren't just some neighborhood kids hanging around a parked GLK in downtown Detroit, NYC, or even Baltimore? The contrast looks fine!)
