Finally got the 22s on the GLK!!
It took a while for me to decide on wheels, but finally found a set i liked. Also got tints and will be doing daytime running lamps in the next couple weeks. I'll take more pics in the morning.

Looks nice. I'm in your same old boat that I'm still looking to find some wheel that I like. Haven't yet. It's a little hard to spend the extra cash since I have the AMG package on my ride.

thanks for the comments. The wheels are not mercedes, I just added the mercedes center cap to give it a cleaner look. The wheels are 22x9 with 265/35/22 tires. Not sure of the offset.

Not digging it, but I don't get the point of a small SUV with 22 inch rims in general.
If you are going for the tuner look you gotta lower it.
Now this looks cool (although totally impractical)

2010 GLK 220CDI 4M BlueEFFICIENCY
I do believe the article "Tires and fuel economy", http://www.landlinemag.com/Archives/...ec2000/52.html,
applies as well for the GLK tire sizes and profiles, e.g. 17"/20", and the 22s", with regard to affect on fuel economy.
Key words are weight, rolling resistance (size, thread design and rubber compound), flexing the of tires, and size. So it could go either way.

I think that there is a remote chance that the extra weight might, just might decrease mileage but the overall diameter of the tires and wheels would be the same as 20's or 19's otherwise the speedo would be off.
I think they are sweet wheels but there is a lot of open area looking into the rims that make the rotors look undersized for the car but the braking should not be affected. Again love those wheels.

I never realized there was that much weight difference!
Wheels are a lot of air (betwen the spokes) so I figured the reduced rubber from the lower profile tires would offset the increase in wheel mass.
Thanks for the info!
