Another new GLK Issue

In also working my way through all the settings, I found that while my weather band radio works, neither the Sirius radio nor regular AM/FM work. But I am getting real time traffic info. Sirius and the regular radio are greyed out. Anyone have any advice on how to get them working? (I am assuming I can't just call Sirius to activate the whole thing, as AM/FM aren't working; also the car came with 6 months Sirius radio).

Call your sales guy.... they were responsible to activate those systems and call Sirius as well. The code numbers are chassis specific. Good luck!

When I bought mine the Sirius radio was not activated. I had to call while I was in the car and they activated it immediately. Make sure you are not using the Bluetooth when you call Sirius as you can't see the radio info you need while you are talking to them. Can't tell you why your AM-FM doesn't work. Sounds like a MB repair problem. If they have to replace the radio you will need to call up Sirius again as the new unit will have a different serial number. You should have MB set Sirius up for you at that point.

Sorry for getting silent. Went to dealer. He explained a sequence of button pushes. Now works.

I'll go into time out now.

Can anyone tell me how to enter phone numbers manually in a MB bluetooth. I recently bought a 2012 GLK and the sales person hooked up my iphone but none of the contacts saved. I only want to enter some of my most used numbers. The only info I can find on this is how to transfer the whole contact list. Can anyone advise?

Using the COMAND Controller button located on the console select PHONE or push the PHONE button on the dash. Then select OPTIONS, then NEW ENTRY you can then use the COMAND Controller to scroll through to the fields you want to make an entry in and use the Predictive Speller located near the bottom of the display.

Should be intuitive from there but it is very intense way to program. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply! I have tried that already and there is no 'new entry' choice under options. Do you happen to know why the phone book didn't load itself when the phone was discovered? I've heard other people say they had problems with their iphones.

To enter manually, select phone option. After selected again go at the top and click phone, this time u can select address book. Now u can add a new entry... Let me know if u need more help.

To import all ur entry use memory card

I finally took it back to the dealer and two salesmen looked at it. They said it can't be done with an iphone. They also said I can't enter them manually. According to them, it is an iphone issue, not a Mercedes problem. It's interesting because in my c300, which did not have multi-media, I could enter them manually. When I mentioned this, they said the technology has changed (for the worse, I guess). I'm really disappointed. I love everything about the car but that. I'm not sure how to use the memory card but I'll figure it out. Thanks for your help!

Wow people...this thread is not a GLK issue it's a people issue. Before the thread was hijacked, it seems that a dealership salesperson didn't activate the free satellite phone service. Is that a GLK "issue"? Then mjrichard hijacked the thread...please read your command manual...page 96-97...yes you can manually enter anything and also delete them. If you want to enter your iphone address book, it can be done. Again a people issue not the car. Please use the search engine to answer 99% of your questions.
