Backup camera problem
Anyone had an issue with their factory installed camera? When put into reverse, the nav screen is black (shows the boundary lines) but no camera. This issue comes and goes. Most of the time it's working but might not work for a day, then fine. Really don't want to bring it to dealership while it's working. They'll probably just wipe the camera lens and say it's working ok.
Any ideas?

Possibly a loose connection in the hatch door. I don't want to tell you to stand behind the vehicle while it's in reverse and start banging on the lid?????

Have you ever been in an accident? Or did someone try and remove the camera? If any of the components (radio, camera, screen display etc) had service performed on them in the past, something may have been done to cause this failure. But no doubt the camera is dead, or has a bad connection/lead.

A slap of the body brought it back to life but brought it to dealership anyway. After explaining, they replaced it....better to get a new one before any warranty expires.
