CANNOT UPLOAD CONTACTS

CANNOT UPLOAD CONTACTS
Purchased a 2012 glx with voice command and was told by the salesman that my contacts would be uploaded via Bluetooth. Now I own the car and cannot upload contacts from my iPhone! Contacts show up on. My 2007 SL 550, but not a newer car? Was duped by salesman? Now when I get a call it shows up as unknown. Not acceptable. Help

Search this forum. There are workarounds. The fault seems to lie in Apple's court, not the GLK. There are workarounds. It also depends on which model iPhone you are using. If you can get your contacts into a Blackberry then you can upload all your contacts easily. Our dealer loaded both of our Blackberrys in a few seconds. Never listen to a salesman. I have a mental list of things that we were told that were not 100% correct.
Enjoy your GLK. After you get the iPhone sorted out you will like it.

He didn't dupe you.
He's just as clueless as you are in the modern day intricacies of car & mobile electronics integration.
Having said that, Wayne is correct -there are several threads you can search for easily to get the answer.
But in sum - your precious over simplified handset was jobbed of contacts transfer capability & ease.
Should've have gotten an BB or Android to make your contacts transfer easily!
ps: did you buy a glx or glk?

I had the same problem. What finally worked for me was to use my macbook pro. First export the address book as a card to your desktop. Connect the computer and command system via bluetooth. One note - it appeared as though setting up the bluetooth connection failed, yet it still worked. Next, click the bluetooth icon on the menu bar, click send file. The addresses begin to transfer.
I guess an easier way may be to get a pcmcia adapter and an sd card...
