Bulb Out Errors?

So I finally was able to change over my parking lights to LED (not an easy task!), however LED's are just 'too blue' and do not match the factory HID's and LED Daytime running lights (looks to teenager Honda Civic like). Even though the ones I ordered from iJDM.com are ~6000k white.

Has anyone experimented with pulling out and leaving out the parking lights? Does it give a bulb out error warning that never goes away?

Comments are appreciated!!

I ask because possibly the parking lights are on the same circuit as the side marker lights so more than one light has to go before it triggers an error? I did this on my 2009 MKV GTI and it looked great, as the parking lights are so small and insignificant, really useless especially with the factory LED DRL....

Can you get 5000k LEDs instead? "Daylight" is somewhere in the 4500k-5000k range. According to Canon DSLRs & Photoshop Lightroom. 6000k is definitely blue. And ugly. To my old eyes. Maybe you could find a Gossen Color Temperature meter? A friend of mine has one. Maybe I'll ask him to "read" my lights and post here for future use. Good luck.

Check out AZN Optics a sponsor here. He has 5000K LEDs that should match better.

Good for you. I hope the rest of us get some indication of a burned out bulb.

I would not be too concerned, it is a pretty useless bulb regarding lighting safety, only functions as minor back lighting....

I like to know when bulbs are out. I replace them in pairs on the assumption that if one is out the other may not be far behind. I don't like suprises at inspection time.

I stand corrected, after 5 minutes of driving, both bulb out errors came on, dang!

I wish this software had a red line feature so I could cross out, "I thought that might happen." Keep hunting.
That is good to know.

Mort, have you tried these? Problem is how to match to factory HID's (~4300K) and LED daytime running lights

Additionally, I see ASN offer a Amber LED bulb for the turn signal, I wonder how that would look to replace the stock ugly amber bulb?
