ABS/ESP pump noise

ABS/ESP pump noise
When my car is parked in the garage, once in a while (one minute or so) I can hear this hissing noise from the engine bay. I then tracked it down to find noise come from the ABS/ESP pump just behind windshield washer fluid tube, the part number is A204 431 3712.
This noise has been here for probably over a year now, the car has been driven fine and NO ABS/ESP warning lights ever.
The noise can be heard anytime between right after the car is parked and shut off (no key) and hours after it parked in the garage.
I can't imagine this is normal, anyone got an idea? I've searched around and found one thread, in W203 forum I think, talking about the noise. Several people said they had this problem but no conclusive information there.

No, not a fan noise and not after I started the car either. Always happens when the car is off and parked for a hour or two.
To answer Wayne, I don't know when it will happen, it doesn't happen every time I park. And there's no other symptoms, so I've been lazy about it.
