Cheapo BT streaming audio solution
I have a basic GLK and wanted to stream from my iPhone. Went to Amazon and bought this...
and this...
I stuck them both in the glove box, plugged into the aux and the 12v. Took seconds to pair. Only thing you will need is a 3.5mm stereo audio to 3.5mm stereo audio cable, the kind you would use if you were plugging your iphone directly into the Aux in the glove box.
I also downloaded Fluxtunes which is a nice alternative to using the built in Apple music player. When I synched the music to my iPhone I let iTunes downsample to 128kbps. It sounds great to my aging ears!
Total under $30

Inactivity
Do you need to connect every time you start your car? If it is disconnects on inactivity does it strat to play again without pressing any button on this device?

That, I have discovered, is the downside. It does seem to disconnect on inactivity so yes it is a bit of a pain. Not quite as cool as I originally thought.
That one is the same and cheaper but I have Prime so shipping is free.
For the money it's great, if I was stopping and starting not so great, but for the sake of a single click at the start of each journey....
