Automatic windshield wipers fooled by bug?

I love the automatic rain sensing intermittent windshield wipers. I was always diddling with the intermittent interval on previous cars, but not the GLK.

But 3 times now, the automatic wipers have gone off on a dry day. I figure a bug splattered itself right on the wiper sensor. Anyone else have this happen? One in a million splatter? 10 thousand?

PS What is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind when it hits your windshield?
