Squeeking Door Piece - Defect?

Has anyone noticed the silver aluminium handle piece of the doors squeeks if a driver/passenger has their leg against it? It is kinda annoying and embarassing really, but curious if this is a defect to be shown at the dealer or a common thing?

Thanks for input

No squeeks - in a nearly three years old "Kiste".

Yes, this was huge news back when the GLK first came out. Many people freaked out on their dealerships who replaced the handles, but that only caused several more problems to occur like rattles and other squeaks since the entire door panel needs to be removed, and the handle modified. I left mine alone and you know what????? It went completely away without a trace... It wears in I figured... it's only plastic.

Good point, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I guess Mercedes are not immune to these things either..... Ah yes, squeeks and rattles, brings back all the memories of my Cavalier Z24 in college, more rattles and bumps than a dance club on a friday night

Very very slow
I had this fixed about a month ago.
They've put some insulation between the 2 plastic pieces and no more noises from it. The handle felt much more solid now.
