2012 GLK rough running on first startup
Anyone notice that when they first start their GLK, it sounds like its running really rough and is "just barely" able to idle?
Noticed it on mine today when the wife started it up and I was standing next to the exhaust. From the outside you can hear it stumbling, but on the inside you will not feel or hear it. Sounds like not enough fuel for after start warm up. Never did it again for the rest of the day. Wife will normally start and select R to back out, and has never noticed it before.
No check engine light. No other issues. 2000 miles.
Just wondering if a fluke for the dealer to deal with, or something normal.

It has only happened to me once about one week ago. Check engine light did come on and stayed on for 4 days. I turned off the ignition and then restarted and it idled perfectly. Dealer identified a fault but no code was displayed.

2010 GLK
rough idling when cold...
It is a know problem with MB and they have a software upgrade for the ECU of 2008-2012 GLK's. If your car is still under warranty you will get these for free:
Excuse -> Gets you
1) AUX volume is randomly unstable -> Free update to latesd head-unit nav Software
2) Hesitant shift from 2nd to 3rd gear when in "S" mode -> new software in 2010-2012 MY cars or a new hydraulic actuator system for 2008-2010 cars
3) Rough Idle/long cranking randomly when cold -> new ECU software for engine - 0.5mpg less fuel burn and a little more torque
4) A bit "wobbly" when sharp turns on wet roads -> Update to the Electronic Stability Program
5) Random jumping on speedo needle -> New Speedo software with additional features that can be hacked
My car is a bit stiffer and sharper shifting, uses a titch less fuel and is a bit nippier. The head unit has rear view camera options in the engineering menu, which I enabled and installed.
If your are under warranty (4 years from original purchase date or 50K mi/80K Km) all these are freebie updates...
